Welcome to this week’s edition of Cyber Carbon Fiber.
We like all things fast here at Cyber Carbon Fiber, but man did Thanksgiving 2020 come and go quicker than Utah’s Metallic Monolith.
Will we see a stiffer, lighter - carbon fiber version of the (allegedly) alien technology in the future?
Onto this week’s carbon fiber curations…
Italian Cake. German Icing.
The Germans do it best. This all carbon Lamborghini Urus by German kit outfitter Keyvany is carbon-everything sexy.
Sidebar: Speaking of…..I mentioned Lambo’s Sian a few weeks ago. They also collab’d up with Ducati to release a two-wheeled Italian twin, the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini.
The Ducati bike shares identical colors and trim - the matte forest green, rose golds, and carbon blacks. It also shares the Y-shaped geometries that Supercar Blondie taught us.
Lighter than Air….Pods
Searching for 2020 teenage-desirable Christmas gifts, I stumbled upon the German company Carbon Deluxe . They are making incredible fabric and forged cases for Apple Airpods.
“G-Wagon, G-Wagon, G-Wagon, G-Wagon”
Another European outfitter, UK’s Urban Automotive somehow found a way to make the worlds best SUV, the Benz / AMG-Wagon, even better with carbon body kits.
They also have an interesting Youtube page.

Starboard SUP
Sustainability-focused Starboard makes SUP boards, rigid and inflatable, for a variety of skill ranges.
In particular I dig their Lima race quality blades.
They’ve posted a behind the scenes tour of SUP fabrication via their Instagram here.
They also have a plastic pollution offset program and other earth-friendly innovations. Kudos to them.
Formula E Racing
I’m just starting to get up to speed on eTron racing and came across this interesting use of carbon fiber in the Audi 2021 Formula E rig. This ride features a unique carbon fiber encasement motor housing - 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds! It’s clad in the expected areas with carbon chassis, body panels, aero surfaces, etc.
